The Orthodontic Discipline at the University of Otago has a long tradition of excellence as the only academic provider of education in orthodontics in New Zealand.

The Discipline of Orthodontics (Head: Professor Mauro Farella) is within the Department of Oral Sciences (Head: Professor Richard Cannon), Faculty of Dentistry (Dean: Professor Gregory Seymour). The discipline aims to provide high-quality Education, Research, and Clinical services in the field of Orthodontics and Craniofacial Anomalies in New Zealand.
